Safran Aircraft Engines supports its teams on four technical applications.
GIDEK brings together design rules, processes, tools and training. Newcomers first experience that wealth of functionality as complexity. K-NOW guides each of them at their own level.

A tool that does almost everything, and that you have to know how to approach.
GIDEK is the knowledge management tool of Safran Aircraft Engines: design, modelling, validation and industrialisation rules, processes, input and output documents, skills and training are all gathered there. Its users describe it as a Swiss army knife, as useful to the newcomer as to the experienced engineer.
Training prepares people, it does not stay with them.
That wealth of functionality can be felt as complexity. For a newcomer, discovering the tool first creates apprehension. The point was therefore not only to document the application, but to support each user at the level where they are.
The guided applications, and those under review.

Guidance that adapts to each person's level.
K-NOW is deployed on site, in a container independent from the applications it supports.
Matched to the profile
Segments make it possible to serve different guidance depending on the user's level of proficiency with the tool.
Matched to the navigation
Guidance follows the real progression through the application's menus.
A single installation
The extension is deployed once per workstation; adding a guided application requires no update at all.
No application coupling
The container isolates K-NOW from the applications, which simplifies version upgrades.

Complex applications approached without apprehension.
Newcomers up and running
GIDEK gets newcomers up and running, and K-NOW removes the apprehension of discovering it.
Support by level
The content of the guidance adjusts to each user's needs and experience.
An extendable scope
4 applications are guided and three further requests are under review, with no work on the workstations.
A controlled rollout
Installation approved by group policies, isolated execution, simplified version upgrades.
“Knowmore is an agile French SME that listens to its customers. Small, but with a solid customer support.”
Bernard Robic, Digitalisation and Continuous Improvement Projects Manager, Safran Aircraft Engines. The solution deployed.
