Michelin trains its finance teams on Oracle E-Business Suite.
The same financial processes have to be applied the same way everywhere. K-STUDIO reproduces the ERP so everyone practises the same actions, with no training environment to build in each country.

Michelin wanted to simplify and speed up the handling of its financial processes around a common framework, carried by Oracle E-Business Suite. The challenge was to obtain consistent implementation by teams spread across several geographies, whatever the local cultures and languages.
One training environment per environment and per language is unsustainable.
Opening a training environment in each geography means data, settings and translations to maintain. The cost and the lead time discourage, and everyone ends up learning their own way.
The application covered by the deployment.
Practising on a replica of the ERP, the same everywhere.
Interactive content that simulates Oracle E-Business Suite, without touching the real environment.
The same actions everywhere
Learners carry out entries and look-ups just as in the ERP, with the same exercises from one geography to the next.
No training environment to build
Simulation removes the constraints and the costs of creating dedicated training environments.
Risk-free practice
Business actions take place inside the simulation, never on the production system.
A reusable model
The approach validated on the ERP Backbone was reused for the D2C rollout.

- ✓Open the invoice to be handled.
- ✓Complete the expense account.
- ✓Check, then post.

A simulation-based training model extended to new rollouts.
Consistent learning
The same content supports the uptake of the processes in the same way around the world.
An extended set-up
After the ERP Backbone, the approach was reused for D2C, first in China then in the other geographies.
A simpler rollout
Simulations replace training environments, whatever the environment or the language.
An award-winning project
Michelin and Knowmore won the 7th Trophée des Trophées, change management category, from the Oracle PeopleSoft, AUFO and JD Edwards user club.
