Project overview

Train employees on the new web version of ABS in a realistic and secure environment.

As part of Global One, its information system modernization program, Allianz needed to support the migration of Allianz Business System to the web while preparing 7,000 employees to use the new version of its claims management application.

The context

Modernize the information system and prepare the migration of a legacy application to the web.

Allianz, a global insurance company, launched Global One, a multi-year program to modernize its entire information system.

This program provides the foundation for the group’s future digital developments. In 2016, Allianz therefore decided to migrate Allianz Business System (ABS), its legacy claims management application, from its Windows version to a web-based version.

The priorities

Successfully move to the web without compromising training quality.

01

Migration to the web

Support the transition of Allianz Business System from its legacy Windows version to a web-based version.

02

Training at scale

Prepare 7,000 employees to use the new version of their business application effectively.

03

Realistic environment

Provide a training environment similar to ABS without relying on a dedicated training instance of the application.

04

High-fidelity simulations

Faithfully reproduce the application’s behavior so employees can practice in conditions close to real-life use.

The solution implemented

K-STUDIO to recreate ABS and train employees through hands-on practice.

Allianz used K-STUDIO to create a simulated training environment that reproduces the behavior of the web version of Allianz Business System.

68 simulated exercises designed to reproduce the key workflows of the new web version of ABS
100% of the ABS application behavior reproduced in a web browser
A training environment similar to the application, with no risk to data or production
A training setup designed to train 7,000 Allianz employees on the new interface
Initial results

A complete simulated environment to train 7,000 employees on the new version of ABS.

7,000 employees trained

The training program was designed to help 7,000 Allianz employees get to grips with the web version of ABS.

68 simulated exercises

Knowmore created 68 simulated exercises covering the scenarios required for training on Allianz Business System.

100% of behavior reproduced

The simulations reproduce 100% of the ABS application’s behavior in the web browser, providing an experience close to real-life use.

ABS

Alternative training environment

The simulation provides a training environment similar to ABS as an alternative to a dedicated training instance of the application.

Key benefits

Train employees on the new application without exposing them to the production environment.

Learning by doing

Employees can practice directly in simulated scenarios that closely reflect their business environment.

High-fidelity simulation

The exercises reproduce ABS behavior in a web browser to prepare users for the new interface.

Training at scale

A single simulated environment can support thousands of employees without relying on a real training environment.

Secure environment

Users can practice without any risk of errors affecting data or the production application.
