About this policy Your company uses K-NOW, Knowmore’s digital adoption service, to facilitate the use and adoption of its applications. As part of the provision of K-NOW, Knowmore acts as a data processor, acting on the instructions of its clients. The client remains responsible for data processing and for compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

What information is processed?

The K-NOW platform enables Knowmore clients to create and deliver guidance content directly within their applications.

Depending on the configuration chosen by your company, data may be collected when you:

  • view or interact with K-NOW content;
  • open or hover over a message;
  • respond to a feedback request;
  • open and navigate through the digital adoption menu;
  • view certain pages within your applications;
  • click on certain elements defined by your company’s K-NOW administrators.
The information processed may include:
  • the user identifier provided by the company;
  • the identifier of the K-NOW content viewed and the associated interactions;
  • preferences relating to the content displayed;
  • responses to feedback requests;
  • the identifier of the page viewed or the element selected;
  • the date and time of the event.

The client controls the data it processes using K-NOW and remains responsible for its accuracy, updating and, where applicable, deletion.

Users

Authors and administrators

K-NOW may be provided to end users anonymously or through authenticated access, depending on the configuration chosen by your company and the application concerned.

K-NOW content authors and administrators are authenticated.

Identification information Last name, first name, email address and permissions assigned on the platform.
Traceability Logins and certain administration, configuration or content-management operations may be recorded.

For these operations, K-NOW may record the identifier of the person who performed the action, the nature of the operation, the item concerned, and the date and time of the event.

Technical

Information collected automatically

Certain technical information may be collected when you use K-NOW digital adoption services.

Depending on how the service is used and configured, this information may include the IP address, dates of first and last use, usage preferences, MAC address, cookie identifiers, information relating to the browser, operating system or device type, as well as general location information that may be inferred from the IP address.

Depending on the circumstances, this information may be associated with an account or a device.

Why is this information used?

The information collected may be used to:

  • save user preferences;
  • take previously viewed content into account;
  • compile usage statistics;
  • measure content reach and effectiveness;
  • ensure the proper operation of K-NOW;
  • improve the digital adoption service.
Knowmore does not sell, rent or otherwise commercialise information relating to the use of its digital adoption services.

Access and rectification

You have the right to access and rectify personal data processed by the platform, subject to the conditions provided for by applicable regulations.

Retention

Retention period

5 years Data relating to individuals who create, view, manage or modify content is retained for the duration of the subscription, extended by an additional 5 years for personal data and other content-related data.
1 year Personal information collected through applications using K-NOW is retained for 1 year after the user’s last login date.

Data security

Knowmore is committed to preserving the integrity and confidentiality of data processed within its digital adoption platforms.

Technical and organisational measures are implemented to prevent, in particular, unauthorised access, fraudulent use, loss, alteration or destruction of data.

In the event of a security breach affecting data processed as part of the service, Knowmore informs the client concerned and implements the necessary measures to address the incident.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the K-NOW service, our practices or applicable requirements. Any changes will be published on this page. Where changes are significant, additional information may be displayed when users log in to the service.
