A benchmark ranking for the French software industry

For 15 years, the Top 250 French Software Publishers ranking by EY & Numeum has analysed the performance and major trends of the sector: growth, business models, AI, CSR, international expansion and more. The 2025 edition, in which Knowmore features, is based on 2024 data from 284 publishers, all French and independent of foreign groups.

Some key figures from the 2025 report:

  • €23.1bn in software revenue in 2024, up 7.4% on 2023.
  • 64% of publishers’ revenue is generated through SaaS / cloud.
  • 79% of publishers are profitable, confirming the robustness of the software model.
  • 55% of revenue is generated internationally.
  • 34% of pure players’ workforce is dedicated to R&D.

In this demanding and highly competitive context, Knowmore’s presence in the ranking marks an important milestone in our journey.

Knowmore, now in the Top 250

In 2025, Knowmore appears in the overall ranking for the first time. For us, this entry into the ranking means several things:

- External recognition of our status as a fully fledged software publisher focused on digital adoption and digital well-being.

- Validation of a model based on:

  • a software platform dedicated to the adoption of digital tools,
  • strong support for end users (training, onboarding, support, teaching),
  • a vision focused on employee satisfaction and experience as much as on performance.

- A positive signal to our clients, partners and prospects: Knowmore is a lasting part of the French software publishing landscape.

This visibility is also the direct result of our clients’ trust, which allows us to co-create ambitious adoption programmes – particularly around HRIS, collaboration tools and business platforms.

Generative AI, SaaS, CSR: a context that resonates with Knowmore

The 2025 edition of the Top 250 highlights several underlying trends that particularly resonate with our DNA.

1. AI as a strategic priority

  • 61% of publishers have already integrated generative AI features into their offerings, and a further 31% plan to do so within the next two years.
  • 83% of publishers consider AI one of their top three technology priorities, ahead even of cloud/SaaS and cybersecurity.

For Knowmore, this is a clear signal:

  • AI (and generative AI in particular) is no longer just an innovation topic,
  • it is becoming a standard expected by end users, which further reinforces the importance of our mission: helping organisations ensure these new tools are genuinely adopted, understood and well received in employees’ day-to-day work.

2. SaaS as the dominant model

The Top 250 confirms that the SaaS model is now the norm, with 64% of software revenue generated through SaaS in 2024, compared with 57% in 2022.

Knowmore is fully in step with this trend:

  • a usage-focused SaaS platform,
  • a subscription model that fosters recurring revenue,
  • continuous improvement of the solution, co-created with our clients.

3. CSR and digital well-being

  • 79% of publishers consider CSR a priority concern,
  • 77% have put a structured approach in place,
  • 58% have carried out a carbon footprint assessment.

At Knowmore, CSR is approached in particular through the lens of digital well-being:

  • avoid tool overload,
  • simplify digital journeys,
  • restore meaning and fluidity to the employee experience.

Being recognised in a report that incorporates these dimensions strengthens our conviction: digital transformation can no longer be thought of solely in terms of features, but in terms of human impact.

What this means for our clients and partners

Being in the Top 250 doesn't change our day-to-day operations… but it does change how we can tell our story:

For our clients:

  • it's a guarantee of longevity and reliability,
  • proof that our publisher model is structured, profitable and part of a solid ecosystem.

For our technology and integration partners:

  • it's a signal of credibility within the French software ecosystem,
  • an asset in building joint offerings around digital tool adoption, particularly in HRIS and collaboration.

For our teams:

  • it's a collective recognition of the work accomplished,
  • a concrete indicator of Knowmore's trajectory over recent years.

What's next? Our ambitions for the future

This entry into the Top 250 is not a finish line, but rather a milestone.

In the coming years, our ambition is to:

- Continue to accelerate the adoption of digital tools within large organisations and mid-sized companies.

- Increasingly integrate AI into our support processes (usage analysis, personalised content, intelligent assistance) while remaining aligned with our values: teaching, transparency and respect for users.

- Strengthen our contribution to a more sustainable digital environment:

  • by limiting friction and excessive demands,
  • by promoting more controlled and better understood uses.
  • Consolidate our position among French software publishers who combine software innovation with positive human impact.

In conclusion

Knowmore's entry into the Top 250 French Software Publishers 2025 (EY & Numeum) is a symbolic but important step:

  • it officially places us among the leading publishers,
  • it validates a model that places adoption, usage and digital well-being at the heart of digital transformation,
  • and it gives us even more energy to support our clients in an environment where tools, AI and employee expectations are evolving very quickly.
