Four questions to ask any adoption platform, Knowmore included

A comparison is not a requirements document. These four questions separate platforms on what actually matters in a critical project. Ask them of every vendor you shortlist: here are our answers for Knowmore.

01

Are you measuring software adoption, or process performance?

A high usage rate on an application does not tell you whether the order was placed correctly. Ask to see a complete process, end to end, on your own environment.

Knowmore: K-VALUE connects observed usage to your process indicators: processing time, data-entry error rate, ticket volume.

02

What happens once the friction has been identified?

Spotting a blocking point is the first half of the work. Ask what the platform triggers next, and how long it takes for the fix to reach the user.

Knowmore: friction identified by K-VALUE becomes K-NOW guidance or a K-STUDIO simulation module, without changing tool.

03

Does the user have to look for help, or does help come to them?

An assistant that answers when asked assumes the user knows they are stuck, and thinks to ask. Look at what is triggered without any action on their part.

Knowmore: K-NOW appears inside the application at the step where the difficulty arises, without the user having to formulate a question.

04

Who builds and maintains your journeys, and for how long?

Self-service or a dedicated team? Based where? Until when after go-live? Have the profiles named in the commercial proposal, not only in the pitch.

Knowmore: in-house project managers, based in France, engaged from design through to continuous improvement.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about Knowmore and UserGuiding

What is the difference between Knowmore and UserGuiding?

UserGuiding is a self-service product onboarding platform: building guides, tooltips and checklists inside a web application quickly, with a no-code editor and a browser extension.

Knowmore starts from the business process and carries it through to completion: K-STUDIO trains users before the switch on an environment separate from production, K-NOW guides inside the application at the moment of action, K-VALUE connects observed usage to your process indicators.

Does UserGuiding offer a training environment before go-live?

No training environment separate from production appears in its public documentation. Previewing a guide and targeting a staging subdomain are the documented ways to test content; the documentation also states that guide content cannot be exported in any file format, SCORM included.

Knowmore documents K-STUDIO: a replica of the application, separate from production, with input validation and SCORM export to your LMS.

Is Knowmore a European alternative to UserGuiding?

Yes. Knowmore is an independent European vendor specialised in digital adoption since 2001, hosting its data in France and certified ISO 27001. UserGuiding is operated by YNOT Partners, Inc., a subsidiary of an Istanbul-based company, hosting on AWS in the United States by default, with a European server in Frankfurt reserved for the Growth and Enterprise tiers.

What is the difference between measuring software adoption and measuring a business process?

Measuring software adoption answers the question "is the tool being used". Measuring a process answers "is the task completed correctly": processing time, data-entry error rate, rework, ticket volume.

An application can show an excellent usage rate while the process it carries stays slow or error-prone. That is what K-VALUE exists for.

Can Knowmore replace UserGuiding?

The answer depends on what you expect from it. If the point is to publish guides on a web application quickly, in self-service, the two scopes do not fully overlap.

If the point is to make business processes succeed inside complex applications, Knowmore covers the whole chain: training before the switch, guidance at the moment of entry, and measurement connected to the indicators of the process.

Does Knowmore support the adoption of AI assistants?

Yes. Generative assistants such as Copilot raise the same problem as any other application: users do not know when or how to use them in their real work.

Knowmore treats this as an adoption journey in its own right, with the same tools: practice, guidance in the context of the task, then measurement of actual usage.

Where is data hosted and what certifications does Knowmore hold?

Data is hosted in the European Union, in France. Knowmore is ISO 27001 certified for information security and rated EcoVadis Silver.
